Aircraft Ice and Rain Protection

The Cirrus Way of Learning

The Ice and Rain Protection System is responsible for maintaining the aircraft’s safe operation by preventing and eliminating ice formation on the aircraft. In addition to this, it is also designed to minimize the impact of rain especially during phases of flight especially when visual navigation is required.

This course is designed to prepare the students to be knowledgeable on the different designs used in the protection of the aircraft against Ice and Rain. The students will be able to identify and explain the different designs and components used for Ice and Rain Protection. Most importantly, the students will be able to apply deductive reasoning by understanding the principle of operation of the whole design and its components.
